Mission Statement
Haverhill's Brightside, a public and private non-profit partnership with the City of Haverhill, serves as an umbrella organization responsible for bringing together the city's private and public resources in a collective effort to clean and beautify our city. Funding from grants, sponsorships and donations enable Brightside to provide the organizational and material resources necessary to accomplish this goal. Our collaborators include government agencies, civic groups, schools, businesses, churches and neighborhood associations. On-going goals of the program are to educate and to promote the benefits of waste reduction, reuse of resources and recycling, through a cooperative approach to the ethical and responsible stewardship of our city and its surrounds.
Our all-volunteer Board of Directors meets regularly on the first Wednesday of every month in room 205 at City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.
Making It Happen
The heart and soul of Haverhill's Brightside are its volunteers: city residents who take responsibility for making our city cleaner, greener and more beautiful for all. Potential sites and duties are updated seasonally. The Board of Directors generally chooses sites for improvements, but community groups or individuals can also contact us with a specific project proposal.
We hope you'll join us in making our city a more beautiful place to live by volunteering or making a donation. Haverhill's Brightside is here to help, but you make it happen.
